Khammouane Technical Vocational College (KTVC) was established in 1965 and was initially named as “Rural Vocational Training School”. The college is located at Donkheunxang village, Thakhek District, Khammouane Province and primarily offered training in two trades only: carpentry and construction. In 1975, two trades were added in tailoring and home economics. In April 2013, KTVC was upgraded to a college and opened its second campus in 2016 at Dongkasaen Village, Thakhek District, Khammouane Province; to accommodate the increasing number of students. In 2017, the DCT programme in farmer was introduced with the support of GIZ-VELA project. Currently, KTVC offered 14 different trade programmes to more than two thousand students.
