About The Course

After learning the general work on a commercial farm in the farmer course, students of the crop technician course learn about the technical concepts of crop production, to improve the farm operations and fine-tune the farm equipment to produce plants. Emphasis is on supervising the plant production unit within a commercial farm.

Trainees are instructed in advanced farm operations carrying out work programming and calculations in the context of plant production. They learn how to plan and monitor the work processes from soil preparation to pre-process and market measures. Training includes fertilizing and pest management measures (along IPM and GAP).
